We’re so happy you’re interested in Beta Alpha Psi!
Below is some information about the chapter and the requirements to join.
To become a member, you must complete a semester as a candidate and be a UT Tyler student.
Candidate Requirements:
Be majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems at the undergraduate or graduate level
Complete at least one upper-level course beyond the business core in your major, and;
Have an upper-level 3.0 GPA in your major
Have an overall 3.0 GPA
Pay a one-time candidate fee of $75
Participate in professional and service activities per academic year

6 Community Service Hours
Once you have completed a semester as a candidate, you can become a member!
Member Requirements:
Pay semester dues of $35 every subsequent semester that you’re in good standing
Maintain an overall 3.0 GPA
Maintain an upper-level 3.0 GPA in your major
Participate in professional and service activities per academic year

6 Community Service Hours
If you are interested in Beta Alpha Psi but aren’t eligible to become a candidate yet, you can be a junior member!
Junior Member Requirements:
Have intention to declare a major in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems and are not yet enrolled in upper-level business courses.
Have attained an A or B in either ACCT 2301 or equivalent at UTT or at another regionally accredited institution.
Have a minimum overall 2.8 GPA
Pay semester dues of $20 every semester
Participate in professional and service activities per academic year
3 Professional Activity Hours
3 Community Service Hours.
What are professional and Service Hours?
Professional & Service Hours are very easy to do! Most of the hours come from just showing up to meetings (as shown on our events page) and coming to service opportunities put on by the chapter!
